Courtyard meeting: At the Courtyard meeting held on 28 August 2022, Tegharia union under Keraniganj Upazila Ms. Salma Akter said that, "I came to this meeting today and learned about legal aid support issue." If I didn't come to the meeting I wouldn't know. I will discuss these legal aid issues with my family and others in the neighborhood who have not been able to attend this meeting”.
Bi-monthly meeting: The monthly meeting of Tegharia Union Parishad under Keraniganj Upazila was held on the date 29.08.2022 Mr. Md. Jahangir Hossain, Secretary of Union Perished said that the government has taken a beautiful initiative for the welfare of the poor people. However, we need to increase publicity so that poor people are not deprived of the benefits of the law due to lack of publicity. I will sincerely cooperate so that the Union Legal Aid Committee is always active, and the clients can get help from this committee from our union parishad.
Public Hearing: Joining in the Public Hearing event on the date 28.08.2022, Joykrisnapur Union under Nawabganj Upazila, Dhaka, said Mr. Mahfujul Haque (43) Our house is having a lot of trouble with the road, the land deed of the house is also shown along with the road, and this is the road we travel all the time. Now the local leader don't allow us to travel through this road, we want a peaceful solution to this road issue. The local union council has been sitting on this matter several times but could not give any solution. How can we get this issue resolved in this public hearing today? “How can we get help from the District Legal Aid office? In response to the question, a representative of the District Legal Aid Office, learned the District Legal Aid Panel Advocate Ms. Nusrat Jahan Rima said that I feel like listening to you, of course the matter is very complicated but before coming to your legal aid office you will come with through the application form from the chairman of this union parishad. Your detailed land related copy as a BS & RS porcha, Khajna and Mutation paper to the District Legal Aid Office, Dhaka. In the public hearing session, the issues that the justice seekers discussed with the District Legal Aid Panel Advocate and to participate in the public hearing session were related to Land Dispute, Dowry, a Cheating Case, and Separation/Divorce in the hearing session (see the table below).
